A New York minister, Prostitutes Plum Rev. Aspinall McCuaig, visited Cincinnati in and toured the Prostitutes Plum district, jotting down the license numbers of the many expensive automobiles he found there.
McCuaig told the Cincinnati Post [5 May ]:. If their owners were not inside the houses they were certainly foolish men to lend them to their friends without changing the license number.
